Jeffrey Dsouza is an Indie-pop singer who grew up in Nagpur, Maharashtra. As a kid, listening to Bollywood songs was his favorite pass-time. Even though He now sings in western style, He believes it was probably influenced by his participation in singing in the Church Choir while growing up.
In his early School days, most of his friends listened to Bollywood music which also affected his choices. This resulted in him never giving a chance to English music. It was not until he came out of his teenage years that he first started listening to a One Direction songs just to get girls even though not managing to get any. It did introduced him to Western pop music. It was at this point that his life as a musician turned around.
He had learned to play guitar when he was 12, But began experimenting with new instruments, and started producing music only when he turned 18. He has always been writing songs but was never really good at it. In 2020, he found himself alone and away from the world due to lockdown. Being disconnected from the world outside helped him to have a clear mind. With nothing to do and no responsibilities to hold, he sat down and started giving meaning to his words. He pictured conversations and stories in his head, wrote down the lyrics, and created random melodies with only a mobile recorder and a guitar in his hand.
