Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers has combined his twin passions for words and music into a multifaceted career as a musician, author, and teacher. He is a grand prize winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest (for the song <a href="spotify:track:5bnlMbD4q0DPpp6Lf62yfJ" data-name="Fly">Fly</a>), a contributor to NPR’s All Things Considered, and the founding editor of Acoustic Guitar magazine. Based in upstate New York, he performs solo, with the duo <a href="spotify:artist:07VBCgl48MxKBObGmId6vo" data-name="Pepper and Sassafras">Pepper and Sassafras</a>, and with a full acoustic band, which is featured on the albums <a href="spotify:album:2yfb41Lvw6NY11JWD2lZVN" data-name="Almost There">Almost There</a> and <a href="spotify:album:0pulPbxfhZcNDkAHFhgMtC" data-name="Live and Listening">Live and Listening</a>, and on his single "Hippie Hair (for the First Time)."
Rodgers also leads the acoustic collective <a href="spotify:artist:6T30kU0dwnec5SwWe6kkgG" data-name="Dead to the Core">Dead to the Core</a>, which celebrates the Grateful Dead and has released the single "<a href="spotify:track:7K1ZJE6zoxPy3XmhElutg3" data-name="Touch of Grey">Touch of Grey</a>."
