Jem Hannam is an English singer/songwriter originally from Derbyshire.
From a very young age, Hannam has used songwriting as a means to decipher his complex internal struggles. Jem spent his latter years in Sussex, where he would often wonder across The South Downs with his dogs, clutching an old guitar. This is where he really developed his own unique sound.
Jem's confessional lyrics and beautiful, yet dark and touching melodies evoke a sense of poignancy.
The newly established folk singer decided to record his first ever project at Clockwork Owl Studios, in Brighton, home to renowned producer Tim Bidwell.
Bidwell is best known for his work with Lucy Rose on her album's "Something's Changing" & "No Words Left". Not to mention he has artists such as, Fink, Kate Walsh, Memorial and Jono Mcleary on his resume to name a few.
Forthcoming is Jem Hannam's brand new single, titled Fires.
"Fires" marks the beginning of an exciting musical journey for Jem. He has a huge collection of evocative songs to share with the world and is definitely an artist not to be overlooked.
