Jem is a Guadeloupean artist shaping her own lane in Caribbean pop, blending the warmth of zouk with the edge of modern R&B. Born Jemima Bagea on May 23, 1998, in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, she was raised at the crossroads of two deeply rooted Caribbean cultures—Haitian through her mother and Guadeloupean through her father.

Drawn to music from an early age, Jem built a signature sound influenced by zouk, gospel, R&B, soul, and trap. A self-taught guitarist, she uses the instrument as an extension of her voice—both intimate and expressive. Over the years, she shared original songs and covers online, gaining momentum and catching the attention of artists, which led her to her first stage experiences as a live performer alongside other acts.
