Jen's song "Yellow Roses" became a grand-prize winner in the 2005 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. She has performed at the ASCAP Writer's Showcase at the Kennedy Center with host Stephen Schwartz, Genghis Cohen, Hallenbeck's, Hotel Cafe, the Koffeehouse Sundance Film Festival Chateau and the Durango Songwriters Expos.

August 2014, Jen released a 33-song collection through Pen Jen Songs called WHIMSY. She also released original children's stories and poems with WONDERLAND. April and May 2016, she re-released WHIMSY as WHIMSY FOR ONE and WHIMSY FOR TWO. November 2016, she released original Christmas stories in a collection called WINTER WONDERLAND.

She had three releases in 2017. HANDWRITTEN, a recording of her grandparents' historical-fiction World War II love story, was released in February. The following month presented PURITY, a 12-song collection with a pop-classical influence. In October, she released IMPOSSIBLE THINGS, another children's music release.

April 2019, she released SIMPLICITY, a 20-song pop collection. December 2019, she gave the world CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER, more children's music. March 2020, she released HOOPS TIME, an inspirational basketball story inspired by her father. December 2020, she finished ENTIRELY BONKERS, her fifth children's music release. March 2022, she launched FATE, 17 original pop songs. May 2023, she presented THE GREAT PUZZLE, more children's music. In November 2023, she released two original Christmas songs, HOLIDAY MUCHNESS.
