Hi! My name is Jena. I’m a California-based artist, songwriter, and worship leader. My heart is to encourage people in their walk with the Lord.
I began songwriting when I was young as a way to process life and express my heart to God. I never put it on the back burner per se, but it returned to the forefront years later while walking through a challenging season. The familiar place of putting prayers to lyrics and melodies was medicine to my soul, and it became a place I encountered the Lord profoundly. God used the wilderness to invite me into my artistry.
The songs I write flow from the place of what I myself am walking through and embody journeys with God in every season of life. Every project I make sounds different and that’s intentional! I love exploring sonic landscapes. It’s often representative of what God is doing in my heart in that season. Each release tells a story.
In addition to writing, I lead worship at my home church and have the gift of guest leading at various churches and gatherings. Worshipping with the greater family of God is one of my deepest joys. I love the local church, and not just in my home country, but in the nations.
My prayer is that you would find your own story with the Lord in the songs I release and that they would become places of communion with Him. Thank you for journeying with me. It means the world. It’s an honor to share music with you.
