Toronto-born singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Jennie Laws has emerged as a beautiful and brilliantly talented arrival on the cutting edge of today’s music. She’s best known for her unique songwriting skills, distinctive sultry voice and story-telling delivery, with the ability to bring it all together in one accessible and appealing package.
Initially discovered by Narada Michael Walden (Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin) & subsequently managed by Prince’s former manager Jacqui Thompson, Jennie teamed up with Jacqui and released her debut EP “Introducing Jennie Laws”. Jennie has opened up for Bruno Mars, Andy Grammer, and Keys N Krates, and she also sang background vocals for INXS and Michael Buble. She’s currently working with leading industry taste-makers Kickraux, SLMN, Emerson Brooks, Jhyve, DJ Agile, Lee Wilson and Miles Jones to name a few. She co-wrote and recorded a song with legendary songwriter Leon Ware (Marvin Gaye, Maxwell) featuring Detroit crooner and multi-instrumentalist Dwele and has another one coming out soon with Prince’s former musical director Morris Hayes as part of his band Global Groove for Peace. Her track "Better" was featured in hit Netflix TV show "First Kill" in 2021 and she released “Losing My Mind” in 2022 in honor of World Mental Health Day.
