"Alien psychedelic folk stories told in a space-rock idiom. Literally out of this world."
"With Jensen Code time stops, everything stops, except magic."
"Music to heal your lost and tortured soul."
Initially claiming to be from Outer Space, Jensen Code in fact turned out to be a trio from South London, UK.
Between 2011 and 2014 the EPs The True Colors of Mars I, 2 and 3 were released, which together form the concept LP, The True Colors of Mars, which tells of the group's dramatic escape from a tyrannical distant planet to Earth.
Vocalist Lockton who, despite being from another planet had sung with many earthly bands before Jensen Code, joins forces with multi-intrumentalist, Andrew Grumbridge (Room Now, The Stir) and drummer and bassist, Deadly Hedley (Room Now, Tuna Lagoon).
"The music is probably best described as Art Rock, pilfering styles and motifs from a broad musical range, from rock to disco via prog and chillout. It's dark, it's catchy, it's deep and there are a fuckload of synths." - Mojo
