JERMAL is an R&B/Soul artist hailing from Ottawa, Canada but raised in Toronto’s east side.
From the age of 9, JERMAL has been singing and writing songs. Growing up in a Jamaican household, his musical inspirations came from a range of artists belonging to the R&B, gospel, reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, country, rock and soca genres of music.

Having that exposure to different music at such an early age and competing internationally allowed for JERMAL to cultivate an ability where he was better able to capture the soul and deeper meaning within the musical performance.

Over the years he had the pleasure and opportunity to open for other established artists (and Toronto natives) like 2 time Grammy award winner Melanie Fiona, Juno Award winner (for Best R&B/Soul Recording) Carlos Morgan and Toronto’s very own Kim Davis.

With the release of JERMAL’s follow up EP “Rhythm & Hues (Vol.2)” , he showcases versatility, dedication and promise as he shows the world what he has to offer. JERMAL is all about infusing modern sounding elements in music while still staying true to the essence of R&B
