It's been a wild ride since Jerry Cherry released his first record "Life Is Sweeter," and now he has just released his long-anticipated follow-up titled “Married To Myself.”
To sum it up, what it’s been for Jerry is a marriage between himself and his new record. “Married to Myself” took over 3 years to make and with Jerry’s last record “Life Is Sweeter” released in 2008, we’re talking 11 years since he’s put out a new record. The time has finally come. Jerry played all the instruments, engineered the recording, and mixed all of record “Married To Myself” in his home studio with the exception of the song Vampires.
As the former lead guitarist, tour manager and musical director for rock’n’roll legend Chubby Checker, Cherry has shared the stage with stars such as the Beach Boys, Little Richard and Chuck Berry, whose famous Gibson ES355 stereo guitar Cherry had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play. In Cherry’s role with Chubby Checker, he performed on the NBC’s Today Show, on CBS’s The Early Show, and at the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame.
