Growing up in the Parkland region of Manitoba, Jerry grew up embracing his Indigenous roots and learning how to hunt, fish, trap and live off the land. During these times Jerry also learned the importance of hard work, dedication and family. It was through his family that he learned to love music, and under the guidance of his grandmother he picked up the guitar and learned to play modern, and classic country music. This love of music drove Jerry to find opportunities perform in front of audiences so he could share the emotions, and passion he felt within music.
