poet and Nashville based artist, Jess Adams, raises his voice in anthemic celebration with his new single L.U.I.H. - a rallying cry for comradery and self-acceptance. The song hits with the energy of the Lumineers and the warmth of The Oh Hellos, climaxing in pure revelry as a sea of voices join in chanting the song's titular message, "We're gonna laugh until it hurts. We're gonna love until it doesn't." Irreverently human, his songs confess a pride in imperfection, a hallmark his style.
Inspired by the legacies of poet-songwriter legends like Leonard Cohen and Patti Smith, Adams armed himself with nothing but his now-iconic 1938 Corna-Smith typewriter, quickly gaining notoriety on Instagram (@jessadamsgrams). Leading a tribe of over 30k followers, he was able to crowdfund his debut album, Riverstone, on Indiegogo.
Lyrics from his debut album "Riverstone" (coming in early 2020 on ADiamondHeartProduction) can be found in Barnes & Nobel, Target, and many other major retail outlets across the U.S., featured in "Crown Anthology."
The release of L.U.I.H. (Laugh Until it Hurts) is a milestone, marking the first official release off of RIVERSTONE. The project is in collaboration with best friend and N.Y.C. based producer Jannek Zechner, whose credits include David Bowie remixes with Tony Visconti. They spearhead a new sub-genre, Poetic Americana, mixing the naked intimacy of Adams' songwriting with the cinematic grandeur of Zechner's production style.
