An early adapter of the independent music model by choice or otherwise, Jess was actively rejected by the main stream industry in Australia being one of the very few openly queer prominent independent artists in Australia in the 2000’s.
2023 was largely consumed with the creation and performance of “The Search” a one person rock musical about the search for ones true voice which appeared off broadway at the Tank Theater in September 2023 and at Midsumma festival in Mellbourne garnering 4 stars from Artshub in Australia.
Jess recently released “American Dreaming” which has been a slow labor of untangling Jess’ own American dream, their ideas of success and happiness turning on their head over the course of the last few years.
