Birdy Fairchild (aka Jesse White) has taught or performed throughout the United States as a singer/songwriter, poet, motivational speaker and event host for hundreds of contributing artists and students. She has appeared on television programs, radio broadcasts, and been quoted in vari- ous publications on personal growth. She is the author of two books of contemplative poetry and co-edited Manzanita Quarterly Literary Review. She is a freelance writer, who has written for To Topos Poetry International, The Santa Fe New Mexican, Authentic Voicework, The Santa Fe Reporter, Manzanita Quarterly, EnCompass magazine, New Life News, and others.
Birdy wrote and produced 7 original CD’s on Authentic Voicework Records, her independent record label, all available at CDbaby.com. Her recordings include nineteen New Mexican writers on Poets for Peace, and three discs of her own original music, among others. Birdy designed and produced the world’s first online literary recording contest, engineering a prizewinning CD for international performance poet Tamara M. Shaw, featured on CDbaby.com.
Birdy Fairchild founded the School for Wonder in 1987 in a small studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, her home for 26 years. Her all-original record label Authentic Voicework Records features three albums of her original music, and four spoken-word recordings she produced. She has performed live shows of all original music throughout the United States.
