Originally from Northern Ireland, the now Brighton based artist, Jessica James offers a unique take on the indie pop genre, with a distinctive style that resonates with the struggles of young adulthood. She is inspired by artists like Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers and the iconic Kate Bush and her sound has been compared to that of Dodie and Orla Gartland. Which earned her a spot on the longlist for the Single of the Year at the Northern Ireland Music Prize.
