Cardiff-based Jessy Allen’s background plays a huge part in her creative process.
Born and raised in the middle of the Welsh Valleys, Jessy absorbed influences from what was around her; namely through her Grandad’s Motown record collection and her Nan’s role in the local choir.
Drawing on writing influences of 1960’s Motown, girl group harmonies and Jazz, fused with her operatically trained voice, Jessy’s music channels a new melange of sound with futuristic highs, creamy melodic middles and rich, synthesised lows.
