Jhaycrux is a born and bred Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper based in Lagos, Nigeria. Now on his 7th release, he started his music career professionally in 2018 with his first single, "Jaiye”.
Born Ogunaje Babafemi Philips, Jhaycrux spent his childhood watching music channels and writing rhymes and hooks in his school notebooks. One could say he has always been fond of music and knew he had to pursue a career in it.
During his time at OOU in 2018, he started his professional music journey with his debut single, "Jaiye." His versatility in rap and melodies quickly caught listeners' attention, leading him to perform at various shows and school events.
Same year, he released other singles like Lowo, I and Lonely Road, all available on Audiomack.
Because of his studies, Jhaycrux took a long break and resumed after his graduation in December 2022 with his most streamed song <a href="spotify:track:7v4azCeDKd1Idy27CScVtD" data-name="Party">Party</a> .
After his graduation from school, it was soon time to serve his motherland, and he had to take another break during his time as a Corper in Ogun State.
In April 2024, he made a mind-blowing comeback with his Afrobeat and rap fusion titled <a href="spotify:track:4Yq51cozP3UsACXv517ZYC" data-name="In My Benzo">In My Benzo</a>.
His latest work ART which features two singles, Hearts break and Long Life, further reaffirms his versatility and brilliance in the music industry.
