Jhey-Dot

Joseph Musonda Chalwe, professionally known as Jhey-Dot, is a medical scientist, rap artist, songwriter, voice-over artist and music producer. He is a born-again Christian and uses his array of talents to express his faith and the glory of Jesus. In addition to some of his many works like song features, writing and production credits, television and radio appearances, scoring movie soundtracks and doing commercial voice-overs, Jhey-Dot has solo musical albums. He has received nominations at the Mzanzi Christian Awards (MCA) as Rap Artist of the Year and Best Gospel Rap at the 9th SABC Crown Gospel Awards. Additionally, he has been involved in several events around the African continent.

Jhey-Dot is a passionate activist for the poor and disadvantaged. Among his works are several charity visits and donations. He spreads the gospel in music and action. He is also a proud brand ambassador of many organisations.

It’s Jhey-Dot’s ambition to empower society through the message in music, sharing and exchanging technical skills and talents with artists from all walks of life and races. He has so far done a variety of collaborations with different artist from countries such as Botswana,
Mozambique, South Africa, Uganda, U.S.A and Zimbabwe amongst others.
