Inspired by some of the most versatile artists in the industry, shifting between Rap and R&B, Jig began writing and self producing in April of 2019. Born Ikemefuna Eguh in 1998, Jig began his career as a SoundCloud artist developing a style that intertwined melodically sung vocals with raw raps about his upbringing and past experiences. With the passing of his father in 2003, Jig was forced to grow up at an early age. After turning to drugs, Jig found solice in music. “I just kind of did it one day. I mean everybody finds inspiration in different ways, but mine stems from my past. Growing up in Newark with a single parent and two brothers wasn't the easiest thing to do". Jig feels everything is at stake for him. "I feel like I have a story to tell". Jig continues to use music as an outlet for him to express emotions he wouldn’t otherwise know how to let out. His passion for music seems to grow with every project and single he spends time on.
