JiJ are a Hard Rock quartet from Manchester, UK. Borne of three friends who met at the same workplace, each are avid gig-goers who can lay claim to seeing some of the best musical artists of our generation, and have a solid idea of what makes a good live band tick. After their debut EP was produced entirely by then-drummer OwenAlec of Silver Lining Studios in 2019, their subsequent lineup change was the introduction of multi-instrumentalist John Andrews on the drums.
Having gigged around the North West of England during 2019 and 2020, JiJ fast gained a reputation for being capable of providing a highly energetic and expansive wall of sound, thanks to all four members performing vocals.
With some of the best riffs of the 70's with the catchiest 80's melodies, along with a heaviness and sludginess to match the finest of 90's artists, JiJ are fast becoming an unstoppable force on the stage.
After a Covid-19 delay, they released their debut album 'The Dying Light' in 2023 recorded, produced, mixed and mastered in-house by John Andrews. A culmination of creativity that counters the status quo, RGM described it as "a breathlessly dynamic love letter to 90's grunge". With a chaotic mix of catchy riffs, stadium-sized choruses and thought-inducing lyrics, it holds great promise for what's kept in their locker.
