Jim Guittard

Jim Guittard is a singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas who currently lives in Southern California. Guittard began making music as a teenager on his 4-Track Tascam machine. His early experimental lofi tapes were compiled into his first album <a href="spotify:album:6zXTJPhOVJwuHkoT5H60ij" data-name="96/98">96/98</a>. In 2002, he self-recorded a psychedelic folk album in California shortly after being involved in the psychedelic country-rock duo with <a href="spotify:artist:65uoPdduGGQJa8EKNBSxAY" data-name="Henry McGuinn">Henry McGuinn</a> called <a href="spotify:artist:2tSXQYpLoAkulmjhFJGRff" data-name="The Ragas">The Ragas</a>.

Guittard spent a couple of years in the Peace Corps in Bulgaria and while there recorded his <a href="spotify:album:15kBcOCm7CLabC9Lbs2L9q" data-name="Busted In Bulgaria">Busted In Bulgaria</a> album. He continues to make do it yourself lofi albums.

In 2022, Guittard released a new international collaborative project called <a href="spotify:artist:5f9hcOe2q2Zh3j5ocIN7eP" data-name="Red Serfs Revue">Red Serfs Revue</a> with musicians across the globe from Southern California, London and St. Petersburg. This project rehashes a few tunes from Guittard&#39;s <a href="spotify:album:63qRn5YOh60EsgnZkvfmDD" data-name="California Daze">California Daze</a> album as well as new tunes that speaks to the turbulent times we live.
