Jim the Boss is a 2 time IMA Nominated music producer, engineer and songwriter located in Secaucus NJ USA. Known for his work with recording studio Hoboken HiFi and their studio band known as The HiFi Rockers. His style of recording and mixing channel the eras of the 60s and 70s through his use of analog equipment.
Jim has worked with some of the biggest names in reggae from yesterday and today such as Cornel Campbell, Sly & Robbie, Horace Andy, David Hillyard, Victor Rice and many more!
Currently, he leads a live reggae cover band, Rolling Js, whose members consist of key reggae musicians from The HiFi Rockers as well as other key musicians from the NJ/NYC area. He also writes the column "Unsung Heroes" for Rootfire. It's a series outlining key foundation reggae musicians and singers from Jamaica who's stories have yet to be told.
