Recording artist, Songwriter & Voice Impressionist Jimmy James (Not to be confused with Jimmy James & the Vagabonds) received a great deal of his fame when he electrified U.S. television chat shows in the late 80s & early 90 with his uncanny and haunting impersonation of Marilyn Monroe. He retired the Marilyn part of his act in 1997.
In 1998 he released a pop dance single “Who Wants To Be Your Lover” and he continued touring his club dates as a Voice Impressionist.
Nearly a decade past before he was able to release a self-penned original global hit “FASHIONISTA” (2006). The song (from the album JAMESTOWN) rose to the top of The BILLBOARD Dance charts.
Other albums include his eclectic variety of Voice Impressions often recorded Live and Raw. He has also recorded a popular Christmas album: “Have Yourself A Jimmy James Merry Christmas.”
