I've been in a school of music of sorts my entire life. I started off teaching myself, poetry, R&B vocals and breathing techniques during high school while learning music theory and classical piano on a borrowed keyboard. But my involvement with music goes back to elementary school, around 5th grade when seeing family members singing songs. After high school I was introduced to a myriad of other music artists, from guitar players, to rappers, poets, music producers and other singers during my years undergraduate. Along with my African American and Afrocentric Studies, I studied music styles that were prevalent during my childhood; Hip-Hop and other African Cultured music styles and formats, including Rastafarian lyricism. I started my electronic music production journey during this time. Towards the latter years and after years of learning and practice I spent 2 years working with a local production company and other artists and producers. I learned more about hip hop lyrical formatting and vocal recording and engineering. I continued to meet other independent artist and performers, upper graduate musical artists, producers and rappers while exploring instrument learning. I spent some years studying more rock & roll music theory and guitar after undergraduate studies. I've collaborated with musical talent from all over the world in music creation. I have more than 10 years of collective musical experience. An invaluable journey of learning, loving, creating and enjoying.
