Jimmy Winchell is a rock legend and cautionary tale. His career was derailed by drugs, women and a ruthless record label. A lawsuit brought by his own management team stripped him of all publishing and copyright ownership + banned him from creating any original music. He redirected this energy into a series of thematic cover song albums on such topics as life in the music industry, cocaine, and wanderlust.
Winchell 's debut "the business" was released on the Priapus Label in 2000, then after an extended hiatus, Winchell returned to form with his sophomore ode to the Peruvian Powder …..”Gives you Cocaine” was released in 2021. “Wanderlust” Followed in October of 2021 and the prolific Winchell released “Redemption” his 4th and “most important” record to date in March of 2022.
