JIYE

JIYE (Jee-YAY), is a Korean-American creative artist/songwriter originating from the East Bay area in California. Growing up she was familiar with the musical arts and her interest led her to write songs since she was a child. JIYE odes her music style today to a diverse influence of 2000s rnb/hip-hop, K-POP such as Big Bang and 2NE1, icons such as Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and much more. She challenges her musicality and production through her eclectic music taste, which results in her uniquely soulful but new age sound. In 2018, JIYE released her first song <a href="spotify:album:13sVvQXNp7GAdJrGGZPh48" data-name="Wonder">Wonder</a> as an artist on digital platforms under a different name, <a href="spotify:artist:0eJsU3ho4bephKfkpa1Pjk" data-name="ANON">ANON</a>. Her first EP, <a href="spotify:album:1892gMWk2dQtWqzFRx20DN" data-name="How to Be Fabulous">How to Be Fabulous</a> released in April 2020, garnering attention from around the world due to her unique tone and groovy, soulful melodies. In 2021 JIYE released <a href="spotify:track:36mKJoTNY9ww6D32clo8ur" data-name="Slowly">Slowly</a> ft. <a href="spotify:artist:3fYkYpeCG07mFndaeBzNYh" data-name="Willie Waters">Willie Waters</a> attracting over 10k streams and landing features on radios and playlists across Africa. In 2022, JIYE began her journey under her new name and released her first track of the year, <a href="spotify:track:3yhuaX3UWXueszxRoe9XPs" data-name="Someone">Someone</a> ft. <a href="spotify:artist:4ph6JucAkc6pnPPad0uiJT" data-name="Ted Park">Ted Park</a> which now has garnered over 15k streams and over 5K views on YouTube. In recent JIYE has had the opportunity to open for <a href="spotify:artist:4ph6JucAkc6pnPPad0uiJT" data-name="Ted Park">Ted Park</a> in San Francisco on his 2023 TEDASS TOUR. Her first single in over a year is set to release in August 2023 and she is looking forward to releasing more projects before 2024.
