JL Toreliza is best known as the main vocalist of the P-Pop group, BGYO. He started his musical journey by joining singing contests, most notably in ‘The Clash’ in 2018. JL was then part of the ‘Star Hunt Academy’ program wherein along with his 4 co-members, trained for 2 years under Filipino & South Korean mentors with the goal of debuting as a boy group that can showcase Filipino talent internationally. His stint with BGYO made him part of 2 charting albums, a brand endorser, & an artist for teleserye OSTs with the most famous one being ‘Senior High’’s ‘Be Mine’ (with co-member Akira) and the latest being ‘Uuwian’ from ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’ Philippine adaptation. He sang the main version while he’s also featured in the reprise with the rest of BGYO. His most notable individual endeavors are being casted as the lead Rovic in PETA’s ‘Tabing Ilog’ (2023) and being a recurring judge in ‘It’s Showtime’’s ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids’ (2024).
