JMG (born as "Jakob George") is an artist from Virginia. He is an artist that makes Rap, R&B, and other types of music. He was born on November 25, 2003. Jakob has been writing since the age of 5 years old. He said "I was writing stories and books since the age of 5 years old and ever since then I've always wanted to become a creative of some sort". Jakob's love for music however, started on a vacation in Williamsburg at the age of 9 years old.
In March of 2018, Jakob decided to work on a mixtape which he would release on SoundCloud, however in July of 2018, he was able to get the opportunity to have his music distributed to streaming platforms, which made him decide to scrap the entire tape and make an album. Later that month, he announced that he would start working on his debut album "Over".
His first release was "Decline" featuring <a href="spotify:artist:49NZ4wVKLAcQHHOEjTRfov" data-name="TrMPETA">TrMPETA</a>, which was released on January 30th, 2019. Jakob also has his own independent collective called "HEATCHECK" featuring RVA artists, producers, and graphic designers that have an interest in creative arts. Jakob was quoted with saying "With HEATCHECK, I want to be able to give people who have dreams the chance to pursue it along with a powerhouse collective who are right there to help and support every step of the way".
