Jochen Pirling is a self-composing jazz pianist and organist. Starting the piano at the age of 4, he goes on to compose his first boogie woogie at 9 years old. Now he will take you on a journey full of emotions and surprises, putting his all into his music.
He finds his inspiration partially from the many groups he has played in where he explored music from the Ivory Coast, hard bop, free jazz, avant-garde jazz, funk jazz, soul, groove, french variété and more.
In his compositions on the piano, Rhodes and Hammond organ, he elaborates original harmonies while keeping the tradition of the bop phrase and taking inspiration from the afro-american tradition of the 20th century.
Since 2022 he produces his own albums with analog synthesizers, samples and tape recorders, which you can find here and on the other streaming platforms.
