Joé Napoléon presents "Chercheur d’or," a free-spirited indie-rock song and the first fragment of the upcoming album set for release in March 2025: "En mille morceaux." This single follows the country mini EP "J’sacre mon camp" (2023) and "Mirages" (2022), a pop-folk album with dreamy and psychedelic touches.
"Chercheur d’or" marks the beginning of a new creative cycle that is more eclectic and heterogeneous, juxtaposing various influences. In this track, for instance, one can hear a blend of 90s alternative pop and funk.
Drawing inspiration from intimate experiences, Joé Napoléon approaches his songwriting intuitively, allowing chords, atmospheres, and textures to emerge before finally crafting the lyrics. "I take bits and pieces here and there, creating a fiction with images and places that I patch together and use like cutouts in a collage," explains Joé Napoléon.
