Jo$e Wop is a HipHop producer and artist from the Middle Georgia Area. Born in February of 1999, he grew up as Joseph Gaines. Jo$e started his musical journey at a very young age. Growing up on the East side of Macon, Georgia, his parents worked very hard to keep him out the streets and away from trouble. This eventually took the form of piano lessons, and participation in sports and the marching band at Central High School. Music would eventually become a very crucial resource for Jo$e during his teenage and early twenties While at school he would face many challenges and struggles related to his hometown. The murder of one of his friends “Ding” was a tragedy that struck his Sophomore Year. Going Into his Senior year one of his best friends “Aries” would be shot by a .40 bullet. This left him in critical condition, but he recovered. Jo$e uses all the experiences of his life growing up in Macon, Georgia, and his life away at University, to create his own musical style. His participation in the school Marching band taught him many things about performing, writing, and arranging/composing. He would eventually learn to perform with multiple Instruments. This greatly affected his sound as an artist. His experiences in the streets of Macon would eventually lead to a theme of contrast within his songs as he explored a newfound world of “richness” at his university. Listening to his early music in order to his new release will show an amazing growth in ability of his artist.
