Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Joel D’Aubin acquired his love for music at an early age. Looking up to his oldest brother, a drummer and lover of music, Joel began to follow in his footsteps. Drumming came naturally and was the gateway to a life pursuing music.
As he grew up, his largest musical influence was (and still is) John Mayer. Other artists such as Ben Rector, Marc Broussard, Dave Barnes and many others continue to inspire his drive and creativity when it comes to making music.
Inspired by faith and family, his lyrics often unpack tales of home-life.
Joel is a part of Baton Rouge-based trio Cinclare as their drummer and currently leads worship for the Refuge college ministry on the campus of LSU. He has played music, both secular and worship, for shows, conferences, worship nights and concerts around the country, and continues to do so.
Happy listening.
