There is something unique about Joel William Brownlie, maybe the music he produces fits into a broad category or doesn’t sound special to you but it’s more than that. It’s not just the sounds that makes up the person that this young man is, Joel was born into music. He had it in his soul, body and heart because nothing else was consistent to him. Nothing else touched his mind the way music did and nothing could ever take an effect on his entire life quite like music has. What makes Joel unique is that he’s not just telling some clique story for everyone to shake their heads to and enjoy only to be stuck in a repetitive cycle of writing songs that have less life in them than Helen Keller. He is telling you his life, and his story. His hurt is in these songs and his good times are in these songs, he grew up in these songs and you see that when listening to the music. So what makes Joel special and unique is you, the interpreter, the listener. The one that decides in their own mind what his story really is. Every person that listens will have a different point of view and that to him is more unique than anything.
