joem brings yet another soul-stirring single, "Nakaraan" featured in the highly anticipated comeback comedy film, "I Am Not Big Bird," starring Enrique Gil.
After garnering almost half a million streams for his track, “Pangako”, Davao’s singer-songwriter, joem returns with an even more heart-wrenching track, “Nakaraan” released on February 9, a week before "I Am Not Big Bird” becomes available on theaters nationwide on Valentine’s Day.
Hailing from Davao, joem is a singer-songwriter and self taught multi-instrumentalist.
Joining 2022's Globe Virtual Hangouts GoJAM On Stage Talent in Manila was all the break he needed. Winning it big has opened new doors - released his winning song “ Gustong Gusto Kita in 2022 and performing in various events in Davao such as Kadayawan, with Lola Amour in Ayala Malls Abreeza, Texas Univercity; and in Manila - Gmusicfest at Ayala Circuit Event Grounds, Social House and GoJAM Season2 Launch in Trinoma.
His music is mainly focused on indie, acoustic and rnb but the artists he looks up to inspired him to discover his own sound — ambient guitar leads and chords, harmonies from other instruments or synths, and of course his very own signature vocals. He still continues to experiment on new sounds to keep his
music evolving. With his powerful yet soulful voice, tasteful and melodic guitar playing and heartfelt performance his music will definitely get you hooked.
