Joey Lugassy's singer/songwriter journey has taken him everywhere from front man in London's Prog Rock scene, to singing on a mountaintop sanctuary for Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh.

Known for his wide spectrum of genres including rock, soul and world, Lugassy has also received two Emmy nominations for Best Song in a Drama Series. Joey Lugassy’s other career highlights include writing a PSA song (Today) for an Amnesty International human rights campaign and composing a rock musical (Adam), currently in pre-production.

As a student and teacher of metaphysics, Lugassy is renowned for his non-sectarian approach to kirtan, viewing Hindu deities as archetypal metaphors of consciousness which can be accessed by anyone. His sacred chants are a blend of original compositions, traditional Sanskrit, and an occasional nod to familiar pop songs that ‘reflect and give insight to this sacred path we're all on together.'

Lugassy is Producer, Creative Director, & Lead Vocalist for the acclaimed multimedia concert, ‘The Beatles’ Yoga”, along with author (‘American Veda’, ‘The Life Of Yogananda’) Phil Goldberg. This musical theater piece celebrates the “Fab 4” as both cultural ambassadors of India’s timeless wisdom as well as creators of unforgettable, iconic songs of the late 60’s.

Based in Los Angeles, Joey Lugassy performs, leads cultural retreats and continues to write music for himself and various television projects.
