Growing up in a small town in Belgium, Jonathan had no close by example in the music industry. Like most people in the early 2000's he grew up looking up to Micheal Jackson, Usher,Chris Brown, ect. At a young age, Jonathan started dancing inspired by them.
Besides dancing it became clear that his passion for singing was something he wanted to pursue. Coming from big a musical house hold, Jonathan started recording music in his room at the age of 19, looking for a way to feed his needs to be an artist. When he became 21 he decided to take music serious, with the goal to make a living out of it.
When asked to describe his musical style, JoFario explains that it's a mix of his African roots and his love for R&B. The singer created his own unique style mixing different genres together.
