Just served in the court of William V for most of his life after studying with <a href="spotify:artist:6fnQvL3k7inhG6vwbpFV7l">Kirnberger</a> (possibly) and Schwindl. He was the music master to the Princess Wilhelmina. It is possible that he visitied London as some of his compositions published in the Netherlands were expeditiously printed in England. The majority of Just's compositions illustrate the developmental work of a teacher. Keyboard works included many sonatinas and divertimentos with simple refined pieces characterized by attractive melodies. These works also included violin accompaniment as an option in which the keyboard (specifically the harpsichord) and violin would be treated equally. Just also composed three operas including "De Koopman van Smyrna." ~ Keith Johnson
