Born in Mexico City, John Isaac Watters grew up in Mexico, & in Tucson, AZ. In 2002 He moved to Los Angeles to attend architecture school at University of Southern California. To date, he has released 3 albums: Parachute Tramps, Casas, and Campanas. Besides touring nationally, from 2014-2017 he held a weekly residency at the historic Hyperion Tavern in Silver Lake. At that residency, John attracted many notable guest performers including Jackson Browne, Mark Eitzel (of American Music club), Dan Bern, Adam Levy, Anna Nalick, Garrison Starr, Will Butler ( of Arcade Fire), Don Heffington and others.

His Latest release Past Hope Now is a 3 song EP to accompany the release of a desert triptych film made in collaboration with Anthony Nikolchev and Gema Galiana. Anthony Nikolchev wrote and directed, while Nikolchev and Galiana perform in and choreographed this “short film meets extended
music video. Past Hope Now is a couple's fight to survive in the chaos of the desert - a physical, mental and natural struggle - set to the music of John Isaac Watters.”

"Past Hope Now" will be the last John Isaac Watters release before he fully transitions into his new moniker as Rainstorm Brother. Rainstorm Brother will be releasing a full length album early in 2018 on Handwritten Records.
