John Paul Chapman offers a mixed kettle of Gen-X musical and life experience. Through years of influence from classic rock, grunge, jam bands, electronica and Radiohead, the resulting sounds are born in a one-room home studio in Missouri. The lyrical themes compare self-doubt to self-assurance, regrets to joyful memories, cynicism to hope. They are glued together with strummed and fingerstyle acoustic guitars, driving percussion, layered harmony vocals, vintage synthesizers and pianos.
