The enigmatic John Thomas Remington is a pianist and composer who resides in Norway. A prolific creator who has ventured into many different fields of music throughout his career, the piano has always been at the core of his artistry. As someone who has lived much of his life abroad, his piano pieces have come to reflect the experience of being a permanent stranger. The songs are classical in nature, but draw on the harmonic language of his childhood church music and the American songbook. “The songs are meant as therapy, both to me as a player and to the listener.”
