Johni

Johni is a folk rock singer and songwriter based in Prague, Czech republic.

She composed her first song when she was just 15 years old and that was when she first expressed her emotions and feelings through music and she has carried on this wave of music euphory ever since. Johni´s songs reflect her life, everyday struggles, love, vice and everything that comes with it.

She started performing with her own songs as a busker on the streets of Prague and small gigs from which she has made a leap to the stages of such festivals as Student fest, Žižkovská noc or renowned Strings of Autumn and most recently the biggest Czech ope air festival called Pražský Majáles.

She has experience in the studio environment as well as she had recorded her songs in various studios. Her song called: When They Kiss Me, was recorded in Prague´s MeetFactory studio, which is a well known place for it´s quality and popularity. Her latest single called “I love you” was recorded in Grand Street Recording studio in Brooklyn, NYC and was produced by Grammy award winner, Ondrej Pivec.
