Johnny Stranger’s music is “a lightning bolt that strikes the listener with menacing energy and progressive musicianship” (Volatile Weekly). Helmed by singer/songwriter Peter Anthony, Johnny Stranger’s sole focus is on making concept records. The project got its start in Washington State, where the band's first two records were made... 'Johnny Stranger' (2006) and 'Lucid' (2007). In 2008, the band relocated to Boston, where they made their third and fourth albums... 'Galacticus 9' (2009) and 'Iliad & Odyssey' (2010). In a big life change, Anthony relocated to Los Angeles in 2011 to pursue other musical endeavors. After a long hiatus, Anthony rebooted Johnny Stranger and released a 5th studio album, “Valkyrie” (2020). As a bonus to fans, Johnny Stranger also released “The Nutcracker EP”, reimagining the classics of Tchaikovsky. The band steamrolled ahead with their 6th album, “Mechanical Clouds” in 2022 and their 7th album, 'Nightmares in Technicolor' in 2024. The band is currently releasing songs from their heaviest record, album #8, which will be fully released in November 2025.
