Jokah is not your everyday artist. She is a smooth lyricist with a versatile flow. She was originally born in Tennessee, but Atlanta is home to her. Even though she grew up having a rough view of the world, she was able to turn that view into words with a flow for the people to listen to.
Jokah joined the military at the age of 21, which was the unexpected beginning of a music career she never knew she could have. Meeting a group of artists at her command and diving into the music world, she found her place within the melodies and rhythms .
"I figured with the way my life was going, it was easier to let somebody else take control, since I felt like I lacked that in my life. But I feel like it was destined for me to meet those people. They helped me find where I belonged, in a sense. And I haven’t been able to stop pursuing that adrenaline rush I felt since doing music with them.”
