Jomar Reyes

Jomar Reyes is a Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter whose music bridges generations, genres, and global influences. Born in the Philippines and raised in Australia, Jomar brings a warm, reflective lens to his soulful mix of funk, R&B, acoustic ballads, and jazz-infused grooves. Inspired by legends like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, John Mayer, Foo Fighters, and The Beatles, his songs often begin on a steel-string acoustic guitar or piano, and grow into heartfelt stories shaped by the lives of others.

Much of Jomar’s songwriting is driven by emotion and by observing and retelling the experiences of those around him. Whether it's the romantic dreams of teenage bandmates in a coastal village or quiet reflections on fatherhood, his music is crafted to resonate deeply and become a part of listeners’ own life soundtracks.

Jomar performs regularly at open mic nights and has played at local culture festivals. He records and produces music in his cosy home studio, collaborating with talented friends and emerging artists. He also teaches music privately, passing on his passion to others—including his son, Noah Jomar, now a hip hop artist in his own right.

At 57, Jomar recently surprised listeners by dropping his first rap verse in his upcoming track Obsession. It’s a nod to his secret teenage passion for Grandmaster Flash and proof that creativity has no age limit—just rhythm, heart, and a story worth sharing.
