Jon Caryl is a 22-year-old singer/songwriter who writes, sings, records, (and often produces) all of his own music straight from his bedroom. He first released music in 2020 (when he was 17) and quickly struck TikTok virality. After being hounded by labels and knowing nothing about the music industry, he signed to an independent label. As he learned more about the business he also learned more about what was important to him. He doesn’t care about being the biggest artist in the world, he just wants to support himself by doing something he loves. This led to him ending his relationship with the label and his manager at the time. He now makes music with his best friends, getting together every week to write a new song. Once that is done he produces the song (often with the help of a friend) and releases it completely independently. Creating is one of his favorite things in the world and there is no amount of money or fame that could take that away. That is why he has created a circle of close friends to create music with. He now spends most of his time making music, practicing photography, playing pickleball, hanging out with his friends or his cat, and watching movies with his girlfriend.
