Just a guy with a guitar and stories to tell, Jon Moore is an authentic songwriter who invites you into his exploration of journey of life — dealing with hard times, enjoying the good times and coming to grips with how fast time passes us by.
His forthcoming debut album ‘Wander Years’ is an ode to the aimless soul searching of adolescence, and the feelings of gratefulness and regret that the memories of that period bring up.
Jon shared this about the first single, River Valley:
“It was twenty-ten, and after a failed run at university I’d found a job that paid little more than minimum wage. I married my high school sweetheart and moved into my parents basement in Alberta with no plans but big dreams.
Every weekend we would go for long walks along the trails in the river valley and imagine what life might be like in the future. How many kids? Where to live? What to do for work? We would walk, and dream, and breathe deep breaths of the fresh air.
The river valley was our place to rest, where we would go to pause life and feel a little peace in the middle of the noise and confusion of life. It’s a place I return to often, if only in spirit.“
