Jonah Whale joined his first band at age twelve as lead singer. Inspired by early progressive rock icons like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, he took up playing drums, guitar and keyboards as well.

He was soon writing and recording his own brand of music in his own unmistakable style - strong hooks and compelling melodies - soaring over driving rhythm tracks.

Jonah Whale is a true solo artist, writing and recording all his own lyrics and music, performing all vocals and playing all instruments on all his albums, in his home recording studio.

After living in New York and Los Angles Jonah Whale settled in Pennsylvania to write and record his newest release “VI”.
Jonah says he loves to hear a song for the first time "its like an adventure". But adds, “being different isn't enough”. "It has to move me emotionally."

In 2017 Jonah Whale formed a band for live performances at select venues on the east coast. Currently they are delivering high energy must see live shows in the PA, NY, NJ, MD areas in support of his latest album release "VI".
