Jonathan Jackson is a multi-faceted artist who creates deep and emotional pieces of art through music, performance, the written word, and film.
Jonathan recently completed 6 seasons on the critically acclaimed ABC/CMT drama “Nashville” as ‘Avery’, an up and coming musician trying to make it in Music City.
He recently completed an international tour opening for the legendary post-punk band Echo & The Bunnymen, including a sold-out show at The Royal Albert Hall in London. His blend of Rock and Americana gives him a diverse musical landscape to explore, with influences ranging from Echo & The Bunnymen, Simple Minds, Peter Gabriel, Radiohead, and Leonard Cohen.
Since moving from the west coast to Nashville, TN several years ago, Jonathan has had the privilege of working alongside producers such as T Bone Burnett, Colin Linden, Buddy Miller, and Greg Archilla.
He is known as a dynamic and emotional performer, garnering visceral reactions and standing ovations from crowds at venues such as the O2 Arena, the Grand Ole' Opry in Nashville, and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Jonathan is as an enigmatic and introverted frontman with soaring vocals and powerful lyrics. You’re more likely to catch references to Dostoyevsky, monks from Greece, or the Russian revolution of 1917 in his lyrics than the more superfluous themes in today’s pop music.
“I'm more interested in the deeper themes in life, the bigger questions, stuff beneath the surface,” Jonathan says quietly.
