Jonathan Plevyak is a Nashville soul singer with a one-of-a-kind vintage sound. Burnt out on modern media and empty content, Jonathan was inspired by artists like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke and Billie Holiday to develop his own retro style, which he ran with.
Jonathan's successful debut EP, “Made In The Shade,” was released last year and sounds just like a vinyl record pulled off the shelf in the ‘50s. The lead single “Wild, Love” has eclipsed 3.6 million streams on Spotify and has been featured in hundreds of thousands of Tik Toks, establishing Jonathan as Nashville's resident crooner.
This past February, he released his second EP, “Loverboy.” This ambitious project has an overarching story set in the nostalgic world Jonathan has built. There are accompanying photos, videos and even a hand-drawn comic book depicting the "Loverboy story, further adding to the community of nostalgia lovers and hopeless romantics Jonathan has curated both locally and virtually.
Coinciding with the Loverboy era are Jonathan’s live performances. Him and his band, The Jukebox Boys, joined Pokey Lafarge on his Rhumba Country tour last year. Jonathan made his west coast debut in Los Angeles at The Hotel Cafe as well. In September, he created an annual 1950s prom night at Nashville's Basement East, called The Jukebox Jam, with the second iteration taking place this summer. Stay tuned for more!
