Jonathan Rhodes

Hey, my name is Jonathan Rhodes from Groningen, The Netherlands. I'm a storyteller with little pretence. I like to think of myself as the antihero of my own adventures. A not-so-bold idealist, jealously looking at unfettered explorers, while lacking the courage to begin a more simple life myself.

I don't really like the label of singer-songwriter but I can't deny it fits me well. My sound leans on Americana with a hint of gospel. Small and fragile songs meet up-tempo roots rock, trying to get you ever closer to the edge of your seat.

My debut EP Dirt was released in 2022. Dutch music website 3voor12 wrote "It is an exemplary introduction to his abilities. This storyteller is driven by quality and vision, and is extremely convincing as a songwriter."
